What can you expect at Didasko Seminars?
Scholarship

A deep Dive
Imagine digging into the Biblical Text - tapping into the expertise of a well-known scholar who has a grasp of the linguistic and theological complexities of a particular text. Aspastors, we rarely have the time to do a deep dive into the text, reading the latest scholarship from the academy. Come to a seminar to be with a scholar who has done just that.

Collaborative Discussion About Sermon Prep
Imagine collaborating with pastors from different backgrounds about how to preach a particular text of the Bible. As pastors, sometimes our creative wells go dry. We get writer’s block and Sunday is around the corner. Come to a seminar to fill up with a ton of fresh ideas on how to preach a passage.

Outlines for future Sermons
Imagine being ahead in your sermon prep - going home with the possible preaching outlines for a whole new series. Come to a seminar so that you can walk into your next planning meeting with concrete ideas on the next series of sermons.
Fellowship
Making New Friends
Imagine making new friends - other pastors who share your enthusiasm for preaching biblically based messages that lead to life transformation. As pastors, we often get stuck in our same circles. Come to a seminar to meet pastors from a wide variety of backgrounds who you might otherwise never meet who also share your passion for relevant biblical preaching.
Encouragement to Preach the Word
Imagine rekindling your passion to preach God’s Word. As pastors, we often become anxious about matters that don’t really matter. We get distracted by the day to day difficulties of our jobs. Come to a seminar to be in the Word for four days with other pastors who understand the stresses of ministry and be encouraged in unexpected ways.
A typical day
Our seminars are filled with scholarship, discussion, fellowship, and food!

Breakfast
The day starts with a great breakfast (we eat all our meals together).

Morning Session 1
A typical session begins with the scholar walking us through the Biblical text followed by a Q&A.

Break
We break for snacks, coffee, and rich conversation.

Morning Session 2
With the same rhythm as session one, we dive into the next section of the text. Sessions are not a lecture, but a back and forth conversation with all the pastors in the room contributing ideas.

Lunch
We enjoy a nice lunch and continue building relationships.

Afternoon Session 1
Continuing the pattern of the morning, we dive into the next section of the text. Ideas flow freely, and we normally come up with different ideas about how to preach a passage.

Break
We break for snacks, coffee, and rich conversations.

Afternoon Session 2
Following the previous sessions’ format, we dive into the next section of the text. Questions are welcome, perspectives are shared, and our understanding is sharpened.

Dinner
We wrap the day with a delicious dinner and more great fellowship.

Free Time
Then, we have free time to connect, catch up, enjoy the amenities of the retreat center, and find local coffee shops. After a good night’s rest, we begin again the next day.
It is like a Bible Camp for pastors!
